South Lake Tahoe Trip

Cara’s dad (aka Dahjo) asked us months ago if we wanted to do a Tahoe trip in June as he used to take Cara and Shauna there when they were kids. Having never been, and Cara wanting to show Lia and myself where they enjoyed parts of their childhood, we of course said yes. After quite the ordeal getting Rex boarded at Pet Paradise, rushing Cara and Lia to the airport to get through security and me taking Rex to a nearby vet for an unneeded vaccination, I made it to the airport in time to wave my Global Entry card and get TSA Precheck added to my ticket and boarded our flight to Reno where Dahjo and Meme were waiting for us.

Most of our days were exploring locations and eating at restaurants they all remembered from years past. We hiked down to Vikingsholm and Emerald Bay, walked around Camp Richardson, rode a train through the hillsides of Virginia City, met up with family in Reno, relaxed on Baldwin Beach and grabbed souvenirs on our way out in Stateline/Heavenly Village.
