Pumpkin Patch
October 17, 2016
There are a number of family farms within a hour of us and after doing some research we found about 3 we wanted to visit but one stood out to us. We wanted to pick out some pumpkins for Halloween but also wanted to see some animals and grab some snacks. We chose to go to The Kinsey Family Farm since they had all of the above but ended up having more. Upon arriving, we found that they partnered with another family farm up the road to sell locally grown apples and apple products (things like apple cider, apple jelly, and breads). Obviously, we had to get some apples so we had one as a snack and it was delicious.
We spent a couple hours there picking out some pumpkins that were not only reasonably priced but were beautiful too. Lia got to see some goats and cows as well as a little horse as she strolled around in wagon. We bought our pumpkins, grabbed some locally made jam, and headed back home.
