Lia's First Haircut

July 22, 2017

It took nearly 3 years for it to happen, but it was finally time. Now I will admit, it was less a hair CUT and more of a hair TRIM. Lia had been getting knots and tangles really easily and like her mom, that’s typically a sign of a need to get a trim. After hearing of a friend of Lia’s having a good experience, we booked an appointment at Pigtails & Crewcuts and away we went. She ended up falling asleep about 5 minutes away as her 2nd nap of the day so she was a little groggy entering the location but as soon as she found an Elsa doll in the other room, she was wide awake.

The stylist asked her which seat she wanted to sit in as she had a choice between an airplane, police car, taxi cab or a fire truck and she chose the airplane. Much to our surprise (and delight) she sat down, buckled herself in, and let the stylist do what she needed to do. She did so well she got a bubble gum flavored lollipop and her choice of prize from the treasure chest, to which she picked a princess wand. The whole way home, she couldn’t stop talking about how much she enjoyed her lollipop.
