Lia Swim Lessons

Cara approached me one day and said, “I want to sign Lia up for swim lessons.” Naturally, I wanted to refuse since I felt it would be my duty to teach her the same way I was taught. However, when she mentioned the price and how many classes she got from it, I agreed it was a good first step to learning more about how to swim vs. just floating around.

Lia loves to swim and play in the water but she has a hard time with water getting on her face, splashing in general, and going underwater…3 things I hope would be taught in this class. I took an extended lunch and went to see her class and while they’re short (30 minutes) they get a lot in considering it’s also with 5-6 other kids. Nora even woke up from her nap to watch sister. The entire time she was trying to make her way to the pool so she could jump in.

Looking forward to seeing how she uses what she’s learned when our pool opens for the season next month (and how Nora takes to the water).
