Lia's 4th Birthday

October 22, 2018

Wasn’t this little girl just 2 years old recently? Why is she getting so big, and so quick? She’s such an amazing kid and an even more amazing big sister and i’m proud of what she’s become in her first 4 years. We spent her actual birthday doing some of her favorite things. We started the day opening presents then having pancakes for breakfast before heading to the mall to Build-A-Bear where she built a pajama bear with a strawberry scent inside. She got to make her own custom Lego guys (because she has a new Lego obsession) then had some lunch. Since we were at the mall with the carousel, we had to ride it at least once. Nonna’s present was a pair of new shoes so we stopped by the shoe store before heading out and grabbing Menchie’s frozen yogurt on the way home. When we asked her what she wanted for dinner she quickly said, “I want daddy’s spaghetti” so spaghetti it was.

For her birthday party she told mom, “I want a super hero party Mommy!” so that’s what her mom gave her. Before joining the party, every one of her friends had to maneuver the super hero obstacle course: Avoid the lasers, jump through hoops, test their balance, lift the heavy weights, hit the target and super punch the wall. Only at that point would they earn their super hero costume. When we asked her what kind of cake she wanted she told us she wanted a cookie cake. Luckily, Costco sells a tub of cookie dough and it was the perfect amount for two good sized super hero cookie cakes.

All in all, I think it was a successful birthday party…one fit for a super hero.
