Halloween & Pumpkin Patch
October 31, 2018Like previous years, we made the drive up to Kinsey Farms to pick out our pumpkins for Halloween. In years past we didn’t have much trouble finding parking or getting around but this year it was easily 3-4x more packed than we’re used to. That didn’t prevent us from finding 4 good pumpkins though.
Lia has never been a big fan of seeing the cows up close but after someone offered her one of the animal feed “biscuits” she wanted to try. However, after the cow got closer she chucked the biscuit to the ground. Nora, like Lia, was fascinated by them at distance but up close wasn’t so sure. She tried riding in the wagon as well but after some time it just wasn’t for her. I don’t blame her, the ground gets quite bumpy.
For Halloween, Lia found a Vampirina costume and immediately fell in love. They had a few other types of costumes in Nora’s size but nothing stood out so we decided to let her go as the giraffe that Lia went as when she turned 1. Both girls helped daddy decorate the house but as soon as the time came they were off into the neighborhood with their friends.
Both kids did great, even considering how late they got to bed. Next year will be exciting as Nora will be able to walk around with Lia.
