Pregnancy
David and I were nervous but excited to start trying for baby number two! We officially tested and confirmed that I was pregnant at the end of November. Keeping the pregnancy a secret through the holiday season was so difficult but I must admit was easier being long distance this year.
This pregnancy was completely different than Lia’s: My sciatica was triggered for most of this pregnancy so I saw a prenatal chiropractor for assistance. This gave me such relief and allowed me to keep up with Lia. The way I carried this baby was much higher and I had no swelling. It seems that the climate in San Diego is partly to blame for my swelling because when we were there visiting I started swelling after being there for a week but once we returned home the swelling went away. What was similar to Lia’s pregnancy was my aversion to chicken and white meats- it again was SO hard to get myself to eat it but I made up for it with other protein sources. My cravings this time around included nice cold fruit, fresh salads, and beer (Don’t worry I didn’t give into that craving!). This pregnancy flew by but even though I’m sad to have it go by so fast, I’m thankful to have finally met my precious baby Nora!
